Marilyn B. Hodge is a trained teacher and certified Counsellor by profession. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education specializing in Guidance and Counselling from Bristol University in the UK. She also has undertaken numerous certified and diploma courses with BSY in the UK including Criminology, Couple Counselling, Alcohol and Drugs Counselling, Body Language, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Post -Traumatic Stress Disorder Management, Relaxation Therapy, Mental Health and Mediation.
She is a Registered BSY:
- Professional Relaxation Therapist,
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Practitioner,
- Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner,
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and
- N.L.P Life Skills Coach.
This diverse array of professional development has equipped Mrs. Hodge in making a sound and valuable contribution to the Anguillian society.
Mrs. Hodge also owns and operates her private enterprise – The Wellness Centre. Through her Positive Living Series, which includes radio programmes on Radio Anguilla (Positive Living) and (AIM) on Klass FM Radio, a bi-weekly column in the Anguillian Newspaper and the publishing of two inspirational books – Positive Living Volumes 1 and 2, Marilyn Hodge demonstrates her deep faith in God. She is currently working on her third publication – Positive Living Volume 3.
She was recognized by the Sunshine Theatre Company in 2010 as Artist of the Year for her outstanding contribution to the wellness of the people of Anguilla. This year she was also recognized by the Gender Affairs Unit of the Government of Anguilla as one of the 14 honourees for Women’s Week 2019 year under the theme Women of Faith, Hope and Love.
